One of our best Eastern North Carolina bluegrass bands plays the Main Stage at the Turnage Theatre.

Highway 58 features:

On Dobro, a true legend of Carolina Bluegrass and County Music: CLYDE MATTOCKS. If you know bluegrass in Carolina…you know Clyde. Don’t miss him!

on Bass Fiddle, JOHN BOOKER: John is known for his solid powerful playing and outstanding vocals, John propels this seasoned traditional bluegrass group.

On mandolin, DON DUNN: Don’s powerful Monroe influenced picking and “high lonesome” vocals are a vital element of the band’s sound.

On banjo, DANNY GRANT: steeped in the tradition of Scruggs & Crowe and mentored by yet another Carolina legend on 5-string, Tim Myatt, Danny has very much been his own man on banjo since his teens.

On guitar, TYLER HAYSE: As the youngest member of the group, Tyler does not take a back seat, his flying fingers, and lighting pick, plus his super vocals will set your feet to patting and your hands clapping.

On fiddle, DAN O’DAY (it’s an alias): As a transplanted Missourian, this will be Dan’s first performance with Highway 58. His first gig was with “Presleys” (now among RFD-TV’s most watched shows), but that was 53 years ago.
