BCTMA’s upcoming February event will be sponsoring the showing of the movie, “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? at the Turnage Palace Theatre. The movie starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, February 10th. Tickets are $5.00.  The 2000 film is set in rural Mississippi in 1937 and is loosely based on Homer’s Odyssey.  Much of the music of the film is period folk music.

BCTMA will host our regular jam that morning, 10:00 am -12:00 pm, and will be singing some of the songs from the film.  We will also host an “Old Time” jam from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.  Anyone who plays Old Time music is invited to join the jam. It should be a fun day, so join us in this celebration of traditional music!
